Beer & Hymns
Join us for our Beer & Hymns here location to be determined, from 6-8 p.m. and on the first Wednesday of each month.
Beer and Hymns began in 2006 at the Greenbelt Festival in the UK and moved over to the US by way of the Wild Goose Festival in North Carolina.
The idea is to get together at a location which is not typically associated with a place of worship, with songs to sing and music accompaniment.
Bring your voice, bring an instrument if you have one, and if you have a favorite hymn, we will try to sing it or at least practice it for next time.

Many of us knew The Rev. Al Hoyt. There will be Memorial Service for him at the First Congregational Church here in Milford. There will also be a reception afterwards at the Milford VFW Hall.

Messy Church
We are excited about this different form of church to our community and hope that it will attract families and folks of various ages and backgrounds, churched or unchurched, who might not normally be attracted to a traditional Sunday service. “Church, but not as you know it” is their tag line. The basic purpose is “to explore God’s love in a welcoming, accessible way through fun, faith, and food.” Each session has a theme, and starts with four to six activity stations, followed by the storytelling/celebration time, and wrapping up with a meal together.

Lent Christian Formation Group
Father Ed is leading a group to explore what it means to be a Christian and an Episcopalian for Lent. The group will be reading a book together as well. They will meet in the Holder Chapel after Sunday service at 11:30 a.m. for one hour, beginning on the First Sunday in Lent, March 9 going through Palm Sunday, April 13. Anyone is welcome to join- just show up!
